By accessing or using MoneySprout ("the App," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the App.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

MoneySprout is a personal finance application that allows users to:

• Link and view bank accounts, credit cards, and loans
• Track income, spending, and net worth
• Create and manage budgets and savings goals
• View reports and financial insights

MoneySprout is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional features in the future, though we commit to keeping core functionality free.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use MoneySprout. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

4. Account Registration

You must create an account to use MoneySprout. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Third-Party Financial Connections

MoneySprout uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to enable secure connections to your financial institutions. By connecting a bank account, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy in addition to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Before linking an account, you must review our data-sharing disclosure and provide express consent. MoneySprout accesses your financial account data in read-only mode. We cannot initiate transfers, payments, or modify your bank account in any way. You may disconnect linked accounts at any time from Accounts.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to transmit malicious code or interfere with its operation
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Scrape, crawl, or index the App's data without permission

7. Financial Disclaimer

MoneySprout is a personal finance tracking tool, not a financial advisor. The information displayed in the App is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of financial data retrieved from third-party institutions. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within the MoneySprout App — including but not limited to the MoneySprout name, logo, and visual design — are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoneySprout and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which may be zero, as the App is free).

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, with or without notice — including if you breach these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
